The South Eastern
Crate Association (SECA) is proud to welcome Lancaster
Speedway to the SECA family for the 2014 racing season.
The rich racing history and memories of the “Fastest
half mile dirt track in the South” date as far back to
the opening year of 1954. Doug McManus took ownership of
the facility in 2000, he has since been able to preserve
those memories while etching new ones while under his
management. Excitement fills Lancaster Speedway on
Saturday nights, and once those engines fire, the
excitement will not stop until the last flag has flown
"Talk about exciting? Have you ever heard of Brandy or
Timbo? Those fans at Lancaster are what this sport is
about. It is hard to find the dedication and passion
that they bring with them each week. Doug, Bruce Arrants
and the staff do a great job to provide a great weekly
racing program for each fan and the drivers. We are
honored to become just a small part of the well known
tradition there, looking forward to the start of 2014!"
stated Timmy Mcabee (co-owner of SECA) The addition of
Lancaster Speedway allows SECA members to try something
different as some just want to GO FAST. Where better to
do that than on the BIG ˝ mile?
"We like what SECA brings to their drivers, and they
have proven themselves to look out for our weekly
programs in this area", stated Doug McManus. "We believe
the partnership will benefit both our race teams and our
fans, as the layout and formula of the SECA program
makes complete sense for our area."
Drivers choosing to sign up with SECA will collect City
Chevrolet Weekly Championship points at Lancaster
Speedway. The 2013 SECA Weekly Championship presented by
City Chevrolet paid an impressive $7500 to the winner!
The top 15 races will be counted toward the final
standings, and the 2014 championship. Approved tire
compounds for SECA sanctioned tracks are HOOSIER HTS
spec 1350 and HOOSIER HTS spec 1600.
Partners of SECA include: City Chevrolet, Hoosier Racing
